Topic of Class

Start of class Professor Gold made us sit around the tables while he un-wrapped his iphone. He showed us the contents of the iphone and what came with it. Then he opened up the "Finger Tip" guide, Talked about what we see in the guide, very colorful images and links and the kind of style they have with the images. Showing multiple iphones to show different ways and visuals to use the device, images have notes to "teach" the user how to use iphone. Images relate to notes are easy to follow, simple, and clean. Apple is known for their style and how everything is presented to the consumer. Manual is called "Finger Tips" instead of User Manual.Fonts in web design have been changing. 3d images present clean look, iphone image facing viewer. Professor explains apps store from iphone. Customizing apps for the iphone tons of applications that users and companies make. Some are free and some you purchase. This is how apple still sells the iphone to people who buy the iphone to make sure they keep purchasing apps and songs and try to get people to sell the iphone to other consumers. This "Finger Tip" guide isn’t a step by step guide. “Finger Tip” guide has a short description on how to view the full user manual using the web or on the iphone. Apple saves money like this, keeps everything simple. Professor talks about how he used google to look up his iphone when he first got it instead of looking through the user guides, found en-gadget tips and other blogs to give him tips on iphone.
